Swarnaa Group is a leading diversified business group with a major focus on civil construction works. Established in 1990, the group has since successfully worked and delivered [number]+ projects across India.
The group is renowned for its contractual works for Government entities, mainly the Railways. Starting with an annual turnover of ₹ 5 lakhs in 1991, this partnership has grown to nearly ₹ 200 crores in 2020.
Today, the group has diversified into manufacturing prestressed concrete sleepers, hotel and restaurant businesses, real estate, windmills, RMC with blocks and pavers production, advertising, and hospitality.

Born to Late Shri Ch. Mallikarjuna Rao and Smt. Ch. Swarna Kumari, Dr. Ch. V .S. V. Prasad is from an agricultural family of Gollapudi, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. By dint of hard work and lots of dedication, he completed his Civil Engineering with distinction from K. L. College of Engineering, Vijayawada. Dr. Prasad started his career as an engineer with Progressive Constructions Limited in the year 1985.
On a friend’s invitation, Dr. Prasad came to Hubli from Vijayawada in 1990 and started his business in 1990-91 by taking up a contract for Railways. From an initial turnover of ₹ 5 lakhs per annum, today, together with his team, he has created Swarnaa Group of Companies, reaching a turnover of over ₹ 200 crores per annum (2020). The company is a well-known name in Indian Railways, central and state government, and private infrastructure projects.
A born philanthropist, Dr. Prasad has held many coveted positions and is the recipient of several awards and honors. Many social and cultural organizations in and around Hubli-Dharwad cities have benefited from his warm gestures and sincere services.
